Patrick comes to us from Normandy, France. Born the youngest of eight, he was raised on a farm ~ planting, harvesting and preparing the food encompassed his everyday life.Patrick began his professional career first as a pork butcher and then by attending the finest culinary school in France.He came to the United States in 1980 to study and work under The World Renowned Rene Robin. Prior to coming to Quincy - Patrick Owned and Operated Dixons Restaurant and Brewery In South Lake Tahoe Where he met his life partner, Donata.Patrick and Donata arrived here in QuincyAnd Opened Café LeCoq in May of 2004.Life Here in Quincy Is Wonderful!We started Café LeCoq with Patrick, Donata and The late Tom Smith (GrandPa)We all thought life couldnt be better...Then in 2006 our family grew with the arrivals ofSimone Marie on August 8th...And then later that month, Kaline Le Coq, Patricks then, 16 year old daughter formerly of Santa Monica, arrived to Join our Petite En Fam.To Those of you who are a part of our Quincy FamilyAnd to Those of you who are fortunate enough to have found our treasured community We say, Welcome!We are Happy to Share Our Love of Life and Food with You.Make Yourself At Home And...BON APPETIT

Using pastels, oils, gouache (opaque watercolor), pencil and ink, I paint and draw primarily from life, en plein air. In the past two years, my enthusiasm has centered on several large oils and flower studies.I have studied at UW Madison, Cambridge Adult School, Calif. College of the Arts, Calif. State University Chico, Feather River College, and several workshops.If you are interested in purchase or art discussion, please contact me at 530-284-6649 in Taylorsville.NOTE: I will be scheduling a painting workshop here in the Le Coq gardens.
